Sixty five people have been nominated by their respective Regional Directors to participate in this new program designed to assist aspiring and current leaders to build on their existing skills, knowledge and experience to make the connections to the work of Principal in various school settings.
The program uses the 9 DIAf principles to develop face to face workshop programs and a number of on-line conferences.
A feature of each workshop is the delivery of a "principal narrative" which focuses on one of the DIAf principles. Key speakers have included Wendy Johnson, Principal at Glenunga International High School, David Tonkin, Principal at Seaton Park High School and Heather Curtis, Principal at Kirton Point Primary School.
Participants are being assisted to build significant networks and identify mentors to guide their leadership growth, and to reflect on where they are in their particular leadership journeys.
QSchool One will conclude in term 2 2010, at which point a second QSchool program will commence.
